The collection of brick built and timber-framed buildings at 102 Beulah Road had been occupied by the Amey family since the 1860's, having been purchased from a developer by the name of Ebenezer Clarke.
Due to Ronald Amey's loss of eyesight in the 1930's, the Amey's ceased trading as building contractors and the building slowly fell into disrepair. By the last 1990's,
the entire site was suffering from collapse and decay.
Fuller's were employed to carry out an extensive refurbishment of the property, a task which involved major rebuilding of approximately 20% of the external walls, new roof structures and complete re-roofing in sympathetic materials.
